Alloy 20 is an austenitic alloy that has a combination of iron nickel chromium with the addition of a small amount of molybdenum and copper element. The addition of chemical element increases its resistance to pitting and hostile environment. Alloy 20 offers good corrosion resistance with excellent mechanical properties and easy to fabrication. This alloy is used in mixing tank, picking equipment, heat exchanger, metal cleaning, etc. The alloy 20 has many characteristics like good corrosion resistance in sulfuric atmosphere, resistance to chloride corrosion stress cracking, high mechanical strength, minimum carbide precipitation in welding process, good mechanical properties and fabricability, and resistance to intergranular corrosion, and heat resistance.
We manufacture different types of forged fittings like round, coupling, plug, tee type, elbow 45/90 degree shapes forged fitting, bushing forged fitting, unions, lateral, threaded forged fitting, etc. The alloy 20 forged fitting is designed for resistance to acid attack and resistance to stress corrosion cracking in boiling sulfuric environment. Alloy UNS N08020 Threaded Forged Fitting is used in a corrosive environment. Because of the addition of copper and molybdenum, the forged tee fitting is used in high temperature application and well known for its highest quality. Alloy 20 forged socket weld fitting have excellent fabrication and weldability and elevated mechanical properties.
