Hastelloy belongs to the family of Nickel alloy. Some amount of molybdenum and chromium are also added to give alloy strength. They offer good resistance from corrosion cracking and pitting. They do not oxidize in a high working environment. Due to these benefits, they are often used in areas where corrosion is a major problem. Hastelloy B3 alloy offers great resistance from hydrochloric acids even at high temperatures and concentrations. But they offer poor resistance from the salts of ferric and that of cupric. They can be utilized in the operating temperatures of about 1000 to 1600 F temperatures.
Hastelloy B3 Fasteners are strong and offer resistance from various organic acids, solvents, formic acid, and sulfuric acid. They are also available in various grades and sizes. These fasteners can be in the form of nuts, bolts, and screws. They can also be used in welding areas because they do not form the grain boundaries or any carbide precipitates in the heat zones. They usually serve the oil and gas refinery industries, paper and pulp industries and many chemical processing industries. They are also used in power industries, in flue gas desulphurization systems, offshore petroleum products.

Also includes positive material identification, hardness, and mechanical test. Important documents include invoice, fumigation certificates, raw material test reports, heat treatment charts.
